Country Manager - Austria

My client is seeking a dedicated and entrepreneurial Country Manager to lead operations in Austria. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven leader with proven experience in international B2B sales, operational management, and team leadership ideally within the electronics industry or a similarly technical sector.

Your responsibilities:

  • Hold full P&L accountability for the Austrian business unit, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Develop, execute and steer the country specific business plan in alignment with the group’s international strategy.
  • Lead and manage the local sales organisation, ensuring strong customer engagement and effective implementation of group sales processes.
  • Oversee all commercial decisions including pricing, customer contracts, and risk assessments in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with global matrix functions such as product marketing, logistics, finance, HR and IT to support local operations.
  • Maintain full compliance with local legislation and uphold the organisation’s ethical and legal standards.
  • Report regularly to the Vice President Region and contribute to strategic planning at group level.

Your profile:

  • A university degree in business, engineering or a related field.
  • Several years’ leadership experience in a sales-focused or general management role within a multinational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a hands-on, structured approach to driving commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive communicator with intercultural awareness and the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
